Makers of Moneydance, The Infinite Kind, have just released Moneydance 2010, an important update from their 2008 version.
New features include:
- Enhanced user interface with improved navigation.
- Sidebar now displays account status.
- Automatic transaction downloading runs in the background. (You can set this to run daily or every few hour).
- Improved categorization of downloaded transactions.
- Improved scheduled reminders & transactions feature.
- New quick search function.
- New reports and graphs available, such as capital gains report.
- Improved graphical view of your budget; flexible graph and report filtering.
This new Moneydance 2010 version remains at the same price as the previous version, $39.99. Consumers who bought Moneydance 2008 are eligible for a free upgrade and those who bought a previous version can get an upgrade for only $19.99. There’s also a free trial available which allows users to manually input up to 100 transactions (but automatic transaction download not provided). There is also an iPhone app on the way shortly. Moneydance runs on Windows, Mac and Linux.
